In the quiet moments when the hurt is hard to bear, may love become your shelter. And may the beauty of precious moments be your comfort.------

There was no love more genuine than mine; in giving and receiving it was pure. Grieve not, for my legacy is love pure and true, each memory a gift that will endure, returning you to moments fair and fine.

The OAK Tree......A mighty wind blew night and day. It stole the OAK tree's leaves away, then snapped its boughs and pulled it's bark until the OAK tree was tired and stark. But still the OAK tree held it's ground, while the other trees fell around

.......The weary wind gave up and spoke, " How can you still be standing, OAK ?.......The OAK tree said, " I know that you can break each branch of mine in two, carry every leaf away, shake my limbs and make me sway. But, I have roots stretched in the earth, growing stronger since birth. You'll never touch them, for you see, they are the deepest part of me.------Until today, I wasn't sure of just how much, I could endure. But now I've found with thanks to you, I'm stronger than I ever knew."--------Thank You Staff Sgt. Reinke for keeping America safe. But most of all, I salute you for your love of country. Loving her some much you were willing to give it all. I just wish you did not have to take the ultimate fall-----GOD BLESS-----William E. Meyer U.S. Army Retired Louisville, Ky.

A Whale Story.---I've been thinking about something I could write hear as a testimonial, but I cannot find the right words, but I was sent this by a friend, and instantly thought of The Reinke Family, so I would like to share this with all of you, knowing Gavin will already know this.---The Whale.

---If you read the front page story of The San Francisco Chronicle, you would have read about a female humpback whale who had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines. She was weighted down by hundreds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, a line tugging in her mouth.---A fisherman spotted her just east of the Favralone Islands ( Outside of the Golden Gate Bridge) and radioed an environmental group for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined she was so bad off, the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her....one slap of the tail could kill a rescuer....They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her.----When she was free, the divers said, she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver one at a time, and nudged them, pushed them gently around.----She thanked them. Some said it was the most incredible, beautiful experience of their lives.....The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth,

says her eye was following him the whole time, he will never be the same.----May you and all those you love, be so blessed and fortunate, to be surrounded by people who will get you untangled from the things that are binding you. And may you always know the joy of giving and receiving gratitude. I pass this on to you in the same spirit.

Cathryn Yashar, San Diego, Ca.

TAPS....TAPS the most beautiful bugle call, known as the most eloquent of all.----Not only to signal the day is done, but to say goodbye, to a comrade, brother, or son.----A melody so hauntingly profound, a piercing yet peaceful sound.----Sounded over every soldiers grave, to honor those who were so brave.----Soldiers raise their hands to their caps, saluting the fallen as the bugler plays TAPS.----Rifles are fired in the sky, to say farewell to another American G.I.----Listening to the bugle play, reminds us of the price they had to pay.----The sound is bittersweet, letting go of a hero, to someday again meet.----Nothing is ever more touching perhaps, or can render emotion like the call of TAPS.----You can hear the bugle weep, where men of valor sleep.----Tears from a bugle fall, as TAPS is played, for the heroes who gave their all.----Thank You, Staff Sgt. Reinke for giving your all to Defend America and Freedom. I just wish you wouldn't have had to die. I salute you and most of all I am grateful to you for my Freedom.----Martin Bryant WWII Veteran Louisville Ky. U.S.A.----P.S. You are probably wondering why so many tributes from Louisville, Ky. ? Well just because we are grateful to you.

Freedom isn't Free....I watched the flag pass by one day. It fluttered in the breeze. A young soldier saluted it, and thyen he stood at ease.~~I looked at him in uniform, so young, so tall, so proud, with hair cut square and eyes alert, he'd stand out in a crowd.~~I thought how many men like him had fallen through the years. How many had died on foreign soil? How many mother's tears ?~~How many Pilot's planes shot down ? How many foxholes were soldier's graves ? No-FREEDOM ISN"T FREE.~~I heard the sound of TAPS one night, when everything was still. I listened to the bugler play and felt a sudden chill.~~I wondered just how many times that TAPS meant "Amen" when a flag had draped a cofffin of a brother or friend.~~I thought of all the children, of the mothers and wives, of fathers, sons, sisters, and brothers with interrupted lives.~~I thought about a graveyard at the edge of town, Gavin that you wouldn't see, of all the graves of fallen soldiers. No-FREEDOM ISN'T FREE.~~Thank You again Staff Sgt. Reinke for my freedom. I just wish you did not have to pay the ultimate price. ~~Bob Mattingly U.S. Navy Sgt. Retired

EAGLES~~To bring down evil, some must fall. To fight for right some answer the call.~~To help the oppressed, some give up their time, their homes, their lives, they're eagles not doves.~~To keep peace for those in need, some go into wars of just we read.~~To keep us safe, it's soldiers we call. They will all give some and some will give all.~~ Thank you Mr. Reinke for my Freedom. ~~Hilda Bryant Louisville, Ky.

Jose Ricardo Flores-Mejia

It's been 20 years since your passing... However, I never forgotten the day you told me I am married, I am going to have a baby, and day your son was born... You touched some many lives in different ways in your brief time on this earth in ways others can't imagine... Some people can be given a life time on this earth and accomplish nothing, and there are some people who are given a short time and accomplish so much... You Mr. Flores-Mejia aka Ricky was that person and soldier who accomplish so much in your shoft tme... As I see the days pass by, and the war seems to be a distant memory, your memory is still alive in my life, and still on this and like other days with my grandchildren I sit back like we did many times and listen to those West Coast oldies... "Never Forgotten"

Frank E. Adamski III

To the family of Frank Adamski, including his wife and daughter, my sincere condolences. I plan to make sure he is never forgotten.

She was my 3rd and 5th grade teacher. Today I'm 32 and still think about her. She was the best teacher ever. From her hair children stories to her bubbly happiness and kindness she spread. I'll never forget her. She was the teacher who had lunch with the kids in her classroom so everyone had someone to be with. She made my school experience amazing. I will never forget her.. I love you Mrs. Cobb. Sincerely, Forever in my thoughts, Alyssa (Viau) Capone

Larry E Polley Jr

SPC Polley died almost two decades ago so I don't know if this message will be seen. In honor of Memorial Day, my agency hands out cards with names of those who have fallen. This year, 2023, I received the card for SPC Polley and was inspired to look up more on him. I am thankful for his service and sacrifice. My condolences to his family. He is not forgotten.

Money comes and go so it's not worth losing you.

James David Parker

I knew James David Parker as "Dave" when he lived in Solon Ohio. We met when I moved into town from out of state. He and his group of friends were a year or two older than me. Dave was a bright beacon of hope and joy to me. I was an unsure young man in a strange place. Dave introduced me to many people and ensured his friends always saved me a seat in the lunchroom. I have fond memories of him and his friends during that time. I doubt so many people would have been as wonderful toward me without Dave's incredible kindness. I've never forgotten his kindness. I hope to be able to pay it forward someday.
