BRAZIL, Ind. &mdash A western Indiana community is making preparations to honor a National Guard soldier killed during an attack in Afghanistan.
The body of 27-year-old Spc. Arronn Fields of Knightsville is expected to arrive Friday at Terre Haute's airport. The Tribune-Star reports a procession is planned to accompany his body to a funeral home in the Clay County city of Brazil.
A printing company in Brazil has prepared three versions of a poster honoring Fields. The posters feature his photo and the wording "American Hero," ''Hometown Hero," or "God Bless."
Chris Nichols of National Printing Converters tells The Brazil Times that the company made similar posters after a local Marine's death two years ago and that company workers immediately wanted to do the same for Fields.
