MARGATE, Fla. A Marine from Florida was killed by an improvised explosive device in Iraq, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Cpl. Pablo V. Mayorga, 33, of Margate, died Saturday along with three other soldiers.
The four Marines were on combat operations in the Al Anbar province in western Iraq when the explosive device struck their vehicle, the Defense Department said.
Also killed in the attack were Lance Cpl. Derrick J. Cothran, 21, of Avondale, La., Lance Cpl. Justin D. Sims, 22, of Covington, Ky., and Pfc. Ryan G. Winslow, 19, of Jefferson, Ala.
