This woman sounds like she was an incredible woman and a sweet mother. I read her story and I just wanted to comment because the words really touched me. I am a mother of two small children under 2 years old. I will hug my children tighter in the days to come, after reading this story. I live in the Midwest, far from New York City and the World Trade Center. However, Alysia's story deeply touched my heart, as if I lost a friend. I will pray for her husband and baby, and she will forever be in my thoughts. Angela Hagerty

Unfortunately, I never had the chance to get to know Alysia better than occasionally seeing her around campus with her husband and their baby. I do remember thinking how much courage and hard work it would take to attend college and raise a child at the same time. While I did not know her, I always admired her and her husband. I remember seeing the little family together at our campus coffee shop, and how happy and complete they looked. Christopher O'Brien, college classmate

When I met your husband, he was so proud to speak of you and your daughter Kayla. I could see how much of a proud husband and father he was, and still is. I can only imagine that Kayla is just like you, and your life and love for him will be seen even more clearly each and every day. I wish I had been able to meet you as I did your husband. May God bless your family. Kurt Michaelson, friend of her husband

I am a better person for having met her. I graduated with her from the business school at W&M, and although we never really knew each other, I found strength and courage in her. The obvious love she and her husband shared was envied by everyone, because it was so honest and so strong. We all were inspired by her smile, her laugh and her unyielding determination and strength. Because of her, Anthony and Kayla, my life was enriched. On a daily basis, I had the privilege of seeing a heroine, who made tough decisions, and who made a difference in the lives of people she never even met. May God bless you Anthony, Kayla and Alysia. Alysia's photo caught my eye. Her face looked so beautiful and so full of goodness. I feel so bad for her husband and daughter. To her parents, I can only say "I'm sorry." You had a lovely daughter who I will remember whenever I think of that terrible day. Please accept my condolences.

You were way too young. Way too young. I have never met you -- I simply read a brief sentence about your life. For some reason, your profile hit me. You're so beautiful, and had so much to live for. I am sure your daughter Kayla will carry on your spirit. Rest gently. John Boyer
