Christian, I can't describe how I felt to see your picture in the paper. I recognised you instantly and dropped the paper. We worked together, back in the day, at Loot for a while. I think I may have done your interview and taken you on (good decision!). You left to travel when I was on maternity leave and I always heard positive things about you. I am so glad that I attended your funeral so that I could share my thoughts with you. It was a comforting, warm and surprisingly uplifting ceremony. Your friends and family really did you proud. You touched my life by not being a stereotype and for following your dreams. I will never forget you. I know that God made our paths cross for a reason and for that I thank you. May you rest in peace. Your spirit lives on. Michelle.

It's hard facing up to the fact that such a wonderful brother as Christian has gone, but God has a plan mapped out, and so our only hope is in him. I met Chris in 1998 when we worked together at Peter Jones. He was a really down-to earth guy, who never had a bad word to say about anyone. I pray that the Lord comforts your family at immensely sad time. God bless Robin.

I saw your picture that Day, alongside the other victims of this meaningless attack. Your Spirit touched my heart, I never knew you, never met you.....I waited and checked everyday to see that you were found...I prayed that you would be, and that you felt no pain as I did for the other victims. You had a spiritual oneness that I cant really explain. ...As a Christian woman I can only Pray that The Grace of Jesus Christ can see youf family through this sadness and confusion. You are safe now, and to the people that knew you personally - to your family and Your friends....I Pray The Lord gives you the peace that surpasses understanding and comforts you all at this time and always....May God Bless You all. Bambi

I am truly saddened by your passing. I did not know you and yet your humility resonates from every picture I have seen in the media. The comments posted on here obviously reflect what kind of man you were, beautiful inside and out. My thoughts go out to your family and friends in what must be a truly awful time for them. May you rest in peace always. x

God does always take the best, because Christian was really really special. I met him in 2003 when we both worked at for a company in Tottenham. He was a thoroughly decent, deeply kind, beaufitul guy. He told me about the manuscript he had written on his travels in Africa. I was fascinated by him as i had never come across anyone so self sufficient and spiritually together. He was just too too good ! I kept thinking that maybe there was another side to Christian that i wasnt seeing. But there of course was not. I respected him greatly, he had almost a kind of free spirit about him. I know Christian is cool right now because The Lord truly knows who is who.

Another needless death. Another worthy life cruelly taken for the beliefs of others. My hearfelt condolences to Christian and his family and all the other victims and families of needless, heinous crimes the world over. At least I can say we had our time.

As with Charlene I found myself checking the web everyday and the papers to see if you had been found safe. Its unusual for somebodys personality to shine so much in a picture as yours did in the papers. Judging by all of the messages on here your pictures showed your true self and that is how you will be remembered. Words used in messages from people who knew you below include 'genuine' , 'beautiful' , 'heart of gold' , 'pleasant' , 'intelligent' , 'caring' , 'bright'. Even though I never knew you I feel that I wish I had as it is rare to find people with all those personality traits in this day and age. If anything your family & friends can feel proud to have had you touch their lives for the years that you did and your memory will live on in all of their and our thoughts and prayers. Bless. x Hopefully I will get to meet you on the other side one day.

He worked with us for a short while in Croydon. Although we never got to know each other, but I do know he was a individual who came across as compleley harmless and genuine. He never showed anger nor did he have anything bad to say about anyone else.
If someone didn't deserve to go, it was Christian.
Our condolences go out to his family & friends, from all at the Croydon office where he worked.

I knew Christian from Salsa dance class, Mondays at Ladbroke Grove! but I talked to him just once after the familiarity of seeing his face week after week became the ice breaker for our one and as it would turn out, only conversation. It struck me then what a bright and beautiful man it was who stood before me, as he told me animatedly and engagingly why he had changed his name after his trip of enlightenment to Africa, "Wow" I thought, I would love to know more but then it was time to get in line, take a partner and dance.... and so I danced with this man called Chris Njoya, a novice like myself, we laughed as we stepped on each other's toes and got the steps wrong!
It is such a vivid memory of an encounter I will treasure forever, for now I know I will never talk to him again, his life so cruelly taken that very week.
For his family and friends to no longer have the light of his smile is difficult for me to comprehend, I cannot begin to even imagine how you, you who were closest to him, must feel, as the feelings I have, I who knew him so very briefly, are of indescribable shock and sadness.
My deepest, heartfelt sympathy to his family, his friends, his lover, his associates, his colleagues and to everyone whose life was richer for having known him, my heart goes out to you and to all those who have been touched by this awful tragedy.
For me, I am grateful, privileged and honoured that I knew this man if only for a few moments, though I could not bring myself to go to Salsa class on Monday, I will go again, go on as life must go on… …but Dancing will never be the same again. Paula M

My heart/thoughts go out to Christians family and friends and those that had the pleasure in knowing him from college as I did. I cannot describe the feeling I felt when I bought the paper and saw his face at front. Christian is in a safer place next to the Lord! For he now is in peace. I pray that his family & friends can find the strength to get through this difficlut stage in their lives. My heart is with you all. God Bless!! Michelle B.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Christian's family and friends. I first heard about Cristian through one of my students at Thames Valley University who had asked me to post the 'missing' email.
Recently i have learned of his dynamicism as a person, his triumphs on his visit to Afrika and great personal accomplishments that i hope will come to fruition, despite his life being cut short.
It's a sad loss - he was obviously a beautiful person inside and out.
May his soul be dwelling in eternal peace and light.

It feels strange how you do not know someone yet they seem so recognisable, i look on the news everyday to see if you have been found but to no preveil. I prey that you will be found soon and that you aren't in or haven't suffered any pain. It seems to me that you had many great friends who are still looking for you, so take care of them from above. May God bless them and your family who are still waiting for news. I hope you are at peace and that you will be found soon, like i said before i don't know you but somethings made me care. Rest in Peace and all my love Charlene xxx
