sam is my cousin. I we never really hung out too much. But I loved the guy anyways. I remember eating kraft singles with sam in the back of his moms car looking out the back window. he was 9 years younger than me. It seems strange to me now that he is gone. That little kid eating cheese with me is gone. I have a hard time with the way he died. so far away from his home. I am sure that his unit was like family to him. And they probably knew him more than I ever did. I hope that their relatives don't have to go through what sam's family and in extension my family did. Take care over there guys.

I went to basic training with PFC. Stone. He was a great guy who was inspiring to others around him. He seemed happy to be in the Army and was very proud. I will be praying for his family. Thank you Stone for your sacrafice for our country and you will not be forgotten.
