| To his wife, if you ever see this, he talked about you all the time, he even wanted to get you a cat. I wanted you to know. I was lucky enough to work with SPC Kurth, and lucky is the right word. He was a great guy and a fantastic soldier. We were both cooks, and working with him made my days easier. Never one to stand back and watch other, or to take the easy way out. I am lucky to have known you Kurth. Post A Condolence Light A Candle Here |

| I am a very close friend of the pilot who medivaced Charles to the hospital that day. It was his first mission and would turn out to be his worst. I would like to share some of the letter that I recieved from the pilot on Aug 23, 2009. I will only share what is needed to be said and is a quote directly from the letter.
quote== (I've flown about 100 hours of combat since I got here on May 1st. The first mission I had turned out to be the worst mission I had. I was on scene in about 20 minutes. I flew the soldier 50 miles to the hospital. I pulled all the power the 2 engines had and landed as quickly as I could. We lost another Great American Soldier that day.His name was Charles Parrish. I hope to meet up with him in heaven some day) end quote. Even though He didn't know him personally Charles will forever be on his mind and in his prayers along with his family.

| God bless Sgt. Beale and his family. And shame on the writer for thinking Liberals would never do this. You are so wrong. Please, if you are sincere then don't make Sgt. Beale or anyone lost in battle something you can make political. My Dad was a WW2 hero and this county's first Purple Heart soldier. One brother served 18 months in Viet Nam, one 8 yrs. peacetime. We are all liberals and we all love this country and our Military men and women. Post A Condolence Light A Candle Here |
