altough i only met him when he was a small boy in the city, I stlillcan picture him. I was devastated to learn that he had perished on 9/11 .I grew up next to the McElrlean family in Manasset. They were our dearest friends and Jack and Harry Scott were best friends. We all were close and loved each other.. I pray for all the members of his family and send love . Abbie Scott...

Tonyell McDay
Total Candles 4
I never knew who Tonyell was, but after reading posts on her and also posting something of my own on her a few months back, I was touched in a place in my heart that has never been touched before. Tonyell crosses my mind everyday. I guess because her life came to an end @ 25, and I am 25 and will be celebrating my 26th birthday in a month. I made a promise to never forget her and a few other brothers and sisters who passed that day. Tonyell because of reading about you, I now make it my life to smile and be a ray of hope in life instead of just being a ray. Every picture I saw of you you had the biggest most beautiful smile ever. I now try to leave that impression on people. I may be a young man but it does not hurt to smile and spread love. I want to thank the people who knew you who had so much great things to say because you lived throgh their memories in which stretched out to a man who was struggling to find his place in the world. Thank you Tonyell, because if I ever have a daughter I pray she is just like you. Rest in peace sister! eutawville11@yahoo.com

I met Ada Mason over a weekend at our mutal friend Willie Highsmith's 50th birthday celebration. I remember her bright smile and joy for life. I only knew her for a brief moment but somehow I know meeting Ada made my life better. We all miss you. When Willie speaks of you I know he misses you very much. I can see the sadness in his eyes and hear it in his voice.

LU Tributes - For The People By The People
Peter Edward Mardikian
Total Candles 4
I met Pete in the sixth grade and attended most of my high school years with him, until his family moved away. Since then I have seen him only several times, but we always picked up from where we left off, with a good laugh. Our friendship, like most good friendships, didn't fade with time or distance. He was a truly unique individual. No-one could make me laugh more than Pete. His quick wit and ability to find humor in everything made Pete a person people wanted to be around. Behind Pete's humor was one of the most caring individuals I've ever known. He could seem to sense when a person needed a lending hand, and he would be there to lend that hand. Now that Pete is gone, there will be no more of his jokes or antics, but his kindness will be felt every day by people that Pete left behind. As for the memories, no acts of terrorism can erase those. I am a testament to that. I haven't seen Pete in several years, and even as I write this, I do so with a smile. You will be missed.

Jose Ricardo Flores-Mejia

It's been 20 years since your passing... However, I never forgotten the day you told me I am married, I am going to have a baby, and day your son was born... You touched some many lives in different ways in your brief time on this earth in ways others can't imagine... Some people can be given a life time on this earth and accomplish nothing, and there are some people who are given a short time and accomplish so much... You Mr. Flores-Mejia aka Ricky was that person and soldier who accomplish so much in your shoft tme... As I see the days pass by, and the war seems to be a distant memory, your memory is still alive in my life, and still on this and like other days with my grandchildren I sit back like we did many times and listen to those West Coast oldies... "Never Forgotten"

Frank E. Adamski III

To the family of Frank Adamski, including his wife and daughter, my sincere condolences. I plan to make sure he is never forgotten.

Laurie Cobb

She was my 3rd and 5th grade teacher. Today I'm 32 and still think about her. She was the best teacher ever. From her hair children stories to her bubbly happiness and kindness she spread. I'll never forget her. She was the teacher who had lunch with the kids in her classroom so everyone had someone to be with. She made my school experience amazing. I will never forget her.. I love you Mrs. Cobb. Sincerely, Forever in my thoughts, Alyssa (Viau) Capone

Larry E Polley Jr

SPC Polley died almost two decades ago so I don't know if this message will be seen. In honor of Memorial Day, my agency hands out cards with names of those who have fallen. This year, 2023, I received the card for SPC Polley and was inspired to look up more on him. I am thankful for his service and sacrifice. My condolences to his family. He is not forgotten.

Paul C. Holter III

Love you and miss you always. Since you been gone it has been hard for everyone. I know you loved what you did, and I want to thank you for our freedom. If I can have you back home and safe living your life man everything would be different. No matter how much money they would offer me I would rather have you alive and home. Money comes and go so it's not worth losing you.

Chris was a strong minded person and looked out for other. He was kind and friendly the he made friends with everyone. Chris was truly a great man! I sincerely apologize for not sharing sooner. but would like to express that Chris's memory will never be forgotten! though he is not with us he will always be in spirit! James David Parker

I knew James David Parker as "Dave" when he lived in Solon Ohio. We met when I moved into town from out of state. He and his group of friends were a year or two older than me. Dave was a bright beacon of hope and joy to me. I was an unsure young man in a strange place. Dave introduced me to many people and ensured his friends always saved me a seat in the lunchroom. I have fond memories of him and his friends during that time. I doubt so many people would have been as wonderful toward me without Dave's incredible kindness. I've never forgotten his kindness. I hope to be able to pay it forward someday.
