  Adam you are the love of my life and always will be. I know i'll see you again. Be standing at the gate with arms wide open for me to in again. i love you. You did an outstanding job for our country. We all love you. Take care of brooklyn for me. she's with you now. tell her i miss her, and that mommy loves her, and that we'll all be together again just the three of us.

May you rest in peace and my God comfort your family and friends in their loss of you. Reading some of the tributes here, it is clear you will be greatly missed by your loved ones.

  Just wanted to say that i work with Adam's aunt in Missouri. I didnt know him personally but I know her and work with her everyday.. She always told us stories about her family and her nephew. We felt like we knew him as well. It his us like a ton of bricks when we found out about Adam. We all thought the same thing... How sad. We are all truely sorry but just know that he is even remembered with people who didnt know him personally but shared his life through his aunt. WE are very proud of him for serving this country but deeply sad that things turned out the way it has. Today we read the clippings that she brought in and I have to say we shed some tears as well.. Had to walk way and read on my own. I am truely sorry. His aunt is a very nice person who is strong but it hurts my heart to see her eyes she is forever changed. Just know we care as well and we will keep his spirt alive. God bless you. C.White, Missouri.

  It seems as though I will wake up and my phone will ring and it will be you calling to say... hey im home lets hang out.. It didnt really hit me until the funeral than I lost it. I will miss you greatly bro.. im sorry your life was so short but im sure you've been reunited with your beloved grandfather and mother that you have waited so long to see.. god bless emma and hope and kimberli and shanna. please feel free to call day or night if you need ANYTHING at all.. your all in my prayers..

  There are no words that I can say to comfort your loving family. Just recognition of a mighty fine brave young man who made the ultimate sacrifice for his country, a hero!


They Don't Wear Purple Hearts In Heaven


I lost my brother to a foreign land;

I was too young to even understand

There was a knock at the front door,

then Momma wasn't smiling anymore.

The man at the door was a Marine;

the first I've ever seen.

Momma told me to go out and play,

then the preacher came

and they started to pray.


Tears ran down Momma's eyes,

and I heard her say, "Why, Lord, Why"?

Father stood there seemingly mindless,

all he said was, "We've lost another of

America's finest."


The Marine handed Momma a small velvet case,

inside was a Purple Ribbon, attached to a

gold heart with Washington's face.

I asked Momma if it were mine,

but she said, "It's your brother's, Sunshine."

"Momma can we send it to Kevin?"

She answered, "They don't wear Purple Hearts in Heaven."

  Semper-Fi my little Brother. You have walked this earth with meaning and valor....You have Battled the Evil that tries to encompass all that is good...and gave all in that same respect. May our LORD open wide the gate For another MARINE.

for we are few among many, who stand tall till the end. But we are many among few...who pass with HONOR to meet again.


I could only hope that all my fallen brethren were remembered in that was fitting. And not here ...for this is one of the many places that houses the same that has caused so many to fall.

It's been 20 years since your passing... However, I never forgotten the day you told me I am married, I am going to have a baby, and day your son was born... You touched some many lives in different ways in your brief time on this earth in ways others can't imagine... Some people can be given a life time on this earth and accomplish nothing, and there are some people who are given a short time and accomplish so much... You Mr. Flores-Mejia aka Ricky was that person and soldier who accomplish so much in your shoft tme... As I see the days pass by, and the war seems to be a distant memory, your memory is still alive in my life, and still on this and like other days with my grandchildren I sit back like we did many times and listen to those West Coast oldies... "Never Forgotten"

I have never forgotten his sacrifice. I would like to share that the greatest memory I had of Chris is that he would speak highly of his mom and how much she meant to him. James David Parker

I knew James David Parker as "Dave" when he lived in Solon Ohio. We met when I moved into town from out of state. He and his group of friends were a year or two older than me. Dave was a bright beacon of hope and joy to me. I was an unsure young man in a strange place. Dave introduced me to many people and ensured his friends always saved me a seat in the lunchroom. I have fond memories of him and his friends during that time. I doubt so many people would have been as wonderful toward me without Dave's incredible kindness. I've never forgotten his kindness. I hope to be able to pay it forward someday.
