May this family know and feel the comfort and peace which passes understanding that comes from our risen Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. We had a great time in Korea and we remained in touch until your deployment. I never would have thought I would never see or hear from you again. I know you are in heaven with the Lord and keeping an eye on all of us . I am so very glad you got to see the love of your life before you went to Afghanistan, I know how you felt about her...Thank you! for your service to our country...Your a True "AMERICAN HERO" I am so sorry we were not there at the services, had we known we would have been there!

| It was an honor, and a privilege, to serve with SFC Summers. He was one fine soldier, a field soldier. My privilege was to be his first Army commander when he enlisted in the IANG's 194th Infantry Detachment (Long Range Surveillance)(Airborne).
