Family and friends lovingly remember Kevin Murphy for his kindness and easy laugh. His devotion to his wife and children and his profound faith were the cornerstones of his life. Since September 11, his wife Beth has had to face the fact that her best friend and partner is no longer here. She finds herself stepping in to try and do all the 'Dad' things, often asking herself, 'What would Kevin do?' She comforts herself and her children, Connor and Caitlyn, with the belief that they have a very special guardian angel in heaven now. Indeed all who knew Kevin Murphy will always carry his spirit in their hearts.

| A group of students at the High School in my town have made arm bands for everyone in our community to wear in the days leading up to an on the tenth anniversary of 9-11. Each arm band has the name of a victim of 9-11, and they have made a bracelet for every victim lost on that dreadful day. My arm band bears the name James Thomas Murphy. It serves as a daily reminder to pray for all the victims of 9-11 and their families and I say a special prayer now fo the friends, family and coworkers of James Thomas Murphy. I ask for God to give them strength, help them to heal, and for an understanding of his will for our lives. On 9-11-11, and every day there after let us not forget James Thomas Murphy and all of the other victims, their loved ones, and our Armed Forces who are doing their best every day to keep us free and safe from more attacks.
