Matt dated my daughter Heather. I met him when we all had lunch before he left for his tour. I was heartbroken when I heard he had died. He was a very caring person and nice as can be. A really good guy.My condolences for the familiy and other loved ones. I admire his courage and he will be remembered and reverence by all.Charlotte WelchRound Rock, TX

Capt. Burgos,Heroe y lider! You blessed this world with your presence, kindness, and courage. As I write this short note, I salute you one more time! Thank you for keeping us free!
Stu, I can't tell you how very sad I am by your departure. I cannot tell you how much you meant to so many of us that served with you... Your love for God, love for family and love for life was evident in everything you said or did. You are a man that always did the right thing "no" matter what anyone thought... You continued to put others "always" before yourself. You truly represented the Army Values... I cannot even imagine the insurmountable grief that your family and friends are feeling at this moment. All I can say is we are all grieving with them... Everyday for one year I will say a special prayer for you... Your candle will burn as bright as it did on earth as it will in heaven. You are an AMERICAN HERO and I will be forever thankful that I knew you. God Bless You and God Bless America!
i am truly sorry for your loss. my husband is currently serving over seas and because of this attack had to donate his blood to another soilder. i am so proud of all of the women and men serving our country. i don't think they get the credit they diserve and we should make sure they do. i wish you all the best.
I have known Tony for about 6 years. He and Angie were soul mates. Quite disfunctional on so many levels, but soul mates nonetheless. He kept me entertained for 4 years. I, along with my entire family, will miss his witty banter and antics for years to come. Hopefully the mold was broken after he was made. I don't think the world, or Heaven, could survive more than one. He was, and will always be, larger than life. I love you, Tony and Angie, and always will. You and your family will forever be in my thoughts. I hope Heaven's gates open up and welcome you with bulletproof vests, asps, and shock collars. Bless you, my hero.Leigh Ann
