It is not how you Died that Made you a Hero it is how you lived. All the Joy that you brought to Any ones Life once you Met Them. You Were my Brother and I think of you all the time. One Day Brother We will meet Again. Jack
My Big Brother, my guardian, my HERO! You are FOREVER loved. I laugh at our memories as children, and adults. I cry at my selfishness for wanting you here. I know you are with us and watch over us. I can only pray you will be there to open the gates to me when I can finally see your smile again! I miss you my brother! SGT Matthew Straughter....For no greater love hath a MAN, than to lay down his life for his friends!
I will NEVER forget you Matthew. You were more than a "Mo. guardsman" who died in Iraq. I loved you from the day you were born and I will love you till the day I die. I miss you more than life itself and pray every day for you. Your life and your achievements as well as all you have given up for our freedom will never be forgotten. My God keep you in his loving arms until we are united again. I love you and miss you Matthew Francis Conrad Price-Straughter Sr. All my love, Mom
Sgt. Skelton,God Bless you and your family. Thank you for your service and your sacrafice for our freedom. I am not sure if I met you when you left for Iraq, but I am so thankful you were there for us. Rest in Peace Soldier.
I just visited your son's grave on Sunday, we stopped by and prayed for this hero while we were visiting our own. It probably does not matter to you now, but I know what you are going through. My son is buried next to yours. God Bless you and your family. May this soldier rest in peace. We visit every Sunday and place flags on the graves of our hero's. We will continue to visit your son too, and pray with him each week when we visit our son.The Vinson family, parents of Sgt. Matthew F. C. Straughter 2/1/80-1/31/08 KIA Iraq.
Our condolences to our fallen cousin and god brother Samson A. Mora. Not long ago he was born at the same time my sister was in Guam. They are basically the same age. We have all gotten out of touch over the years. We me and my sisters will mourn and miss him for always. And will always remember the times we had with him growing up. May you rest in peace. And remember that we do love you.-----Rachel, Michelle and Rochelle R.B.
Dear Cody I had the pleasure of meeting your parents this weekend. They could not say enough about you and the stories they tell about are wonderful. You must be a guiding light in heaven as much as you must have been here. I only wish that I would have been able to meet you all. The motorcycle your Dad has built for you is awsome and truly reflects his love for you.I was proud to receive a hug from both your parents when we said goodby standing in the rain. Gary
Thank you for making your child, Jesse. His kindness and gentleness was evident to all. Thank you for giving him the courage to serve his country. Continue to protect his family and comfort them as they mourn. It was truly a privilege to be Jesse's friend.
May God bless you, you will be missed. I am glad to have had the pleasure to know you. I pray that your family is comforted in knowing that you were doing what you loved. You are one of a kind.
Eric,While our association ended when high school did, I've thought of you through the years and, after having read about the man you became, feel your loss all the greater because we did not keep in touch.Rest in peace and know you will always been remembered fondly!Sandey Meyerson

Billy you will never be forgotten. Michael, Linda, and I will have you in our hearts and thoughts forever. God Bless You for your sacrifice and help your family through this difficult time. I am proud to help keep the memory of Joseph burning brightly.I don't believe I can adequately express my sorrow for his family. It is my hope that you have found peace.
Vincent Winston and myself were high school friends....no, brothers! Went though AJROTC together, wrestled, and he always was he person to help you whenever he could. Always havin ya back! I'm deeply sadened by the loss of someone of such great character. Whats makes him even better, he decided to defend this great country and paid the Ultimate price. May you rest in peace brother! With DEEP Respect,Stephen A. Chenault
It is with deep regret and sorrow that we mourn the loss of Vincent. We are family and when of hurt, we all hurt. Sadly, this is one of those times.Marion and Gladys Tyson
I still have no words for what happened that horrible day in September. People wept, I wept...It was just beyond my comprehension that such a horrible act could be deployed. But I know now what evil is and I don't like it. My prayers go out to the family, friends and so many others. God Bless You all and may peace and rest come to you. Lynn
I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Vincent Winston. I met him in high school when we were both on the wrestling team. He was a terrific wrestler and a great human being. The news of his sacrifice leaves me choked, yet proud to have known this man for even a short time. My heart and condolences goes out to his family and loved ones. - Danny Grubbs
I picked Elizabeth's name out of a hat to do research on her story is sad. ( Iam 11) By the way I got an A on my project. She is looking down on her family wanting to let them know that She in sitting with the Lord in Heaven. All my prayers and condolences go to you.
Vincent and I were best friends in high school in Memphis. We were both in AJROTC for a few years. He was always the kinda guy to stand up for someone else. The kinda guy that would watch your back. The kinda guy that wouldn't quit. I lost contact with him when he moved in 10th grade, however, it doesn't surprise me that we ended up in the same profession. I’m extremely sorry to his real family, who I never had the chance to meet, and for the loss of a fraternal brother in life and profession. The world will be a little less bright, but his brothers will drive on. God bless
may God watch over your soul. you have changed my life forever and i thank you. God placed you in my life for that short time for a reason. i will always remember the laughs :)
My condolences to Joe's family. We were sadden to hear of Joe's death. My brother, John Feeley, and I grew up in Yorkville on the same street just a few buildings from where Joe and his brother, Jackie, lived.
I played basketball with Joe and his friend Billy Spade. Both were great basketball players, muchbetter than I was. I remember Joe having large
hands and could palm a basketball without any problem. Both were great baseball and softballplayers. Joe was also a good swimmer. He was onhis high school (I think Textile HS) swim team.We lost track of the Driscolls when I and my brotherjoined the US Marines in Feb 1951 during the Korean War. Joe joined the Navy.Patrick M. Jen and I met in Belmar and though we only knew each other for a short period of time, I can still clearly recall her energy and kindness. I cherish the memories I have of the times we hung out and know that the world cannot replace someone like her. She is missed.
Today is the 7th year of the Anniversary of 9/11.It doesn't matter if I didn't know you Joanne.I wish I was there to save you by telling you not to go to work later that day. No one knows the future. The clock of life is wound just once and no onewill know their final hour here on earth.Indeed there has been so much injustice in this world since man inhabited the earth and you were right in the middle of it September 11, 2001. May your life depict the beauty of everything that is good in the world. May the holy spirit give us light, strength, and love. I run in the NYC Marathon every year for our servicemen and women and for those who died 9/11. Your star in the sky now is shining down upon us in Heaven with God. Michael Wojcio New Jersey
