I will never forget Danny or the days we grew up together on Washington St.. All the times we played street hockey, rode our bikes, and played around on the backyard halfpipe. At church yesterday they played "I Can Only Imagine". I started crying because the last tme I heard that song was at your service. I was thinking about you and how wonderful your reunion was when you saw your father and our Holy Father in Heaven. Cody,Yesterday I was with my 20 month old granddaughter, Kaylie, and she was looking at the charm of you on my bracelet that I wear every day. I was telling her who you were and that he wanted to meet you but didn't get the chance to. I asked her to give you a kiss. She picked up the charm and gave you a huge kiss (MuWah) then unexpectically she took the charm and put it to her heart without me telling her to do so and she had a precious little smile on her face. I had tears in my eyes! It was so touching to see her do that. You must of been whispering in her ear to let me know that you are looking after us. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. Josephs last name stood out to me, because I always try to find a miracle in the day. When I pulled his site up, my heart broke. He was so very young. To young to have died to soon. SSG Michael Townes was a great nco, and a great leader. I served with him at Camp Humphreys South Korea. He was like a brother to us. Never once did he lose his cool as an nco. I remember how he would ride his bicycle around post. My prayers and condolences to his family. He was a very loved soldier, and leader. Dear Sweet Cody,Today my mom and I went to church for a memorial mass for loved ones that have passed away. My mom brought a picture of my grandparents, and mass cards for my aunt and uncles. Of course, I brought a patriotic wreath that I had made with your picture on it with words on it saying "OUR HERO". I have it hanging on our front door because Bobby and I are so proud of you and want everyone to know it. The mass was beautiful and the priest talked about heaven and told us that there isn't any pain, anger, lonliness or any kind of unhappiness there - only love, laughter and comfort. During the mass a man read a beautiful poem and it reminded me of something that you would of told everyone who loved and cared about you. After mass was over I went to get your picture and a man came over and told me that he goes to your grave every Sunday and will continue, to do so, until he dies or moves out of Florida. He never met you but he appreciated your patriotism and the sacrifice you made for us. What a kindhearted man and I was so touched. Several other people recognized your picture and also had kind words to say. You made such a wonderful impact on our community. After mass we went to the church hall for lunch and to reminisce about our loved ones. Thank you for the wonderful memories, I will treasure them always. I miss you very much.
