Our family extends our love and heartfelt sympathy to you. . . Eric's loved ones, family, friends, and fellow soldier's. He had a short, but rewarding life and will live on in our minds and hearts, never to be forgotten. The Hewitt Family, Buckhannon, WV
It has been 2 years since we lost our young men, I know the pain you've went through, I do hope it's getting better for your family. I appreciate the calls you've given John and the e-mails you've sent to Leigh, those things help so much. They say time takes care of the pain but it does seem like the healing process is very slow. I know how much we miss Jeremy and I'm sure it's as hard for your family loosing Tim. Liegh's daughter, Amber, came home last week, after completing her second tour in Iraq, so we do have a lot to be thankful for. Your familly is in my prayers, as is all of the other families who have lost a loved one in this terrible war. Peggy Summers (Jeremy Doyle's Grandmother)
My sincere condolences to the family. I have moved away, but I keep in touch with the Maine Patriot Guard, and regret that I can not be there to support the family. Many will be there in spirit.
Ron, You are one of a kind. I know you are sorely missed by your wife and family. Your dedication and commitment were an inspiration to so many. I pray that God continues to strengthen your family and give Jacqueline and the kids comfort in the memories you both created. God Bless, and take your rest. A fellow ENMU student.

From SSG Berzett and family: you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Although not everyone in our families have not met, we are connected by the great honor and bond created by the US army. He was our brother and hero to not only our children, but to the children who can live free because of the sacrifices that Braden gave. Thank you for all that you have done for our family and ALL families in America the beautiful. You were lost but you will NEVER be forgotten.

i saw that movie, The World Trade Center and I wanted to say thanks for the dedication to America. I think that Police Officer Pezzulo is one of the bravest men in the history of America. My condolences for all the men and women who lost their lives in 9/11.
I was on the plane to RDU yesterday with SFC Kettle's parents. The stewards paid honor to this fallen soldier and his parents, by recognizing their presence on the plane and requesting that they be allowed to exit the plane first upon landing. I turned to the lady next to me and said that I wish they had asked us to keep our seats. My faith in humanity (which was flagging after a long day of travel) was restored when upon landing, NO ONE MOVED. I was in tears when no one moved and allowed this grieving couple to leave to a round of applause. I was so proud to be an American. If Mr. and Mrs Kettle read this, please know I will think of you often. An Army mother in law from Fayetteville, NC

My son, Ryan, informed me of Taurean's death as my son was serving in Afghanistan with him. My son, Ryan, is a Navy EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) and Taureen helped protect our servicemen while they were out on missions. Taurean and Ryan were also in the same tent, played cards together at night and Taurean even cut my son's hair one day. Thank you for the gifts and talents Taurean shared with others. I am glad he was a friend to my son. Thankfully, my son returned to the states safely at the end of June. His heart is breaking knowing Taureen's life was not spared. May God bless Taurean for bravely following his convictions and serving our country well!
ok i miss you its hard here in iraq with out you me and bates are doing good. it was us here in a sea of 130th. thanks for evey thang you tought me man.
Thank you son for my freedom. You are my hero and will be with me in my heart till the the day I am able to hold in my arms you once again. I love you and miss you dearly.Love
To Le Ron's Mom. I too am a Army Mom. My heart goes out to you as a Mom. I too have a son in the Army and is about to go back to Iraq for the second time and this time probably right to Bagdahd. I am heartbroken that your son was only 18 years old. He didn't even begin to live yet. There are no words that can comfort your heart. My prayers go out to these fallen HEROES! Some Americans get too complacent with what we have and forget about who is fighting and laying down their lives daily to preserve this freedom. I wonder about things like did your son only just arrive in Iraq when this tragedy happened. He was so young. As I said words cannot comfort your heart but know that prayers are with you and your son. As a mother I know what you went through. I fear it everyday. God Bless you and your family.
Such a handsome young man. I know from mom's comments how much he was loved, and my heart aches for you. I lost my son in Iraq also June 27, 2005. He was my best friend, but I know what it means to love and support their decisions. May God bless and comfort you and your friends. Barbara Shephard, Oklahoma

I worked with SSG Suliveras back in 2004 on our first tour in Iraq when he was with Task Force 1-12 in SADR city. He will be very missed by friends, family and every one who knew him. God bless him and may he rest in peace.
