I worked with Paul at Tripar International in Roselle. He always spoke of how much he wanted to travel. I smiled when I read that he loved Star Wars, cause it reminded me of the time when we traded Super Nintendo games. I had given him Stars Wars: Empire Strikes Back. It touched my heart to hear all the great things that people have said of him. We have lost a great young man. We can only be glad to know that he was doing something he loved.

When I first heard that a Bad Axe native was killed in the war in Iraq I waitedas everyone did in a nervous panic to find out the soldier's name. When they finally announced his name I pondered through my mind and remembered Garrett a quiet nice young man that was a freshman my senior year of high school. I thought about how proud I felt that he cared so much about this country's freedom that he would sacrifice his life to help us. He will be with everyone in this towns hearts and his family in our prayers each night. His bravery will never be forgotten.
