I was very upset when I heard about Angel. I had seen him solve the murder mystery on "Murder in Small Town X." Since I don't know anyone in New York, my mind went to him on 9/11. I thought, surely no. My thoughts and prayers go to his family. May God help you to remember him always. Rosanne Zito
I only knew of you what I saw on television on "Murder in Small Town X." I was pulling for you the whole time because you did not tolerate bullies, and you were an excellent detective. Thank you for being who you were. Rest in peace. Helene, Fan
To my cousin Angel Luis Juarbe Jr. Thank you for all that you have done for the people of New York and for the Juarbe family. You gave your own life to help another and that is something I will never forget. All of the Juarbe family is proud of you for what you have done. You will never be forgotten and will always have a place in my heart.
I have cried so much for losing my just-one-hour friend whom I met somewhere in New York to ask for help. I did hope so much he wasn't in the collapsed WTC, but he was. I received a big shock when I stopped by NY Fire Department to see his picture on the wall. Leon Sheng, friend
My friend, in this life I have been honored in knowing someone like you. You have always been a great friend and a great person and I miss your advice and our conversations so much, you always knew the right words to say. I miss you! This is not goodbye but until we meet again. You're forever my Angel. Neicy, friend
Almost like family you were to me and my brother (Ricky), Steve. I keep a copy of this picture by my desk at work and I look at it every single day. I still don't or can't imagine that you're gone. My prayers are with your wife, dad and other family members. You will always be with me in Spirit! Love! Rest in Eternal Peace!!! Xiomara Hansen-Guillette, friend
Art was a fraternity brother of mine at Hamilton College. Many years after we graduated, I began trading copper futures on the New York Merchantile Exchange. As I was talking to this guy on the phone, I realized (to my surprise) that it was Arty. We traded copper and stories and laughs for many years. He was a great guy. Honesty and integrity will be Art's legacy. He is dearly missed. May God comfort his family and loved ones. Steve Garvin, friend

I think of you daily and I hope that wherever you are and whatever you're doing you're okay. It makes me sad that sometimes we don't realize the effect a person has on our lives until they are gone and then we can't thank them for it. Susan, old neighbor
My Condolence to the Jones family. Sorry I missed his memorial, I was out of town. I just need to say, Brian has been an inspiration for me, and quite a few others at Union Bank of Switzerland. He will indeed be missed, but always remember, My blessings go out to Brian and family. Brian I know you're looking down on us from the heavens above, I want you to know, we all loved you at UBS. I worked with Steve Jacoby at Metrocall for three years. He had a definite presence about him. He was a very serious, stoic, yet kind person. I was a receptionist and customer service representative and he always had a thoughtful, respectful smile on his face. He contributed so much to Metrocall and I am sure his loss is so immense, there are no words to accurately convey it. I believe and hope he is now at peace.
Brooke is dearly missed by all who knew her. I was a friend of hers at Columbia, and it shocks me to know that she's gone. I am so sorry for the family's loss. James, friend
Waleed Joseph Iskandar was one of those rare and remarkable individuals who managed to touch the lives of everyone he knew. He had many interests, and he believed in living his life to the fullest. He loved traveling, cycling, skiing, water-skiing, diving, roller-blading, eating good food, drinking fine wine and spending time with his family and his many friends. Known for his compassion and kindness, many of his friends remember his irrepressible optimism and his ever-present smile. He was also extremely bright and could give over to his quieter, contemplative side. He believed that every individual has a right to happiness, dignity, and opportunity and that accepting life’s difficulties is a crucial part of achieving happiness. Joseph Iskandar, father
I met Todd in 1999 when I was interviewing for a job with Cantor Fitzgerald. He was an alumnus of Holy Cross. While I only spoke with him for an hour, he struck me as one of the most down-to-earth individuals who never forgot where he came from. He was charasmatic and intelligent, yet showed no signs of arrogance. This is most likely a testament to his upbringing and very indicative of his great personality. The world has certainly lost one of its greatest. Conor Taniguchi, acquaintance
Jonathan was my cousin's best friend. I did not know him personally, but my cousins and uncles, who are also firemen, knew him very well. I have a memorial to Jonathan on my car and will never forget him and all the brave firemen who died so tragically. My family and I send our deepest sympathy to Jonathan's wife and family and pray they are able to find peace. Jennifer Van Doren, family friend

As one who worked closely with Lt. Col. Hyland recently at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. I would like to say that it was a true pleasure to have known him and to have served with him, if only for a brief moment during our army careers. May God bless his family and keep Lt. Col. Hyland in his loving arms forever. Sgt. Maj. Donald Penhale, friend
Ari could always make you smile. His smile and humor were infectous. He also had the amazing talent of wiggling his ears when you asked him ... I will not remember Ari with tears, but instead with the smiles and laughter that he always shared with others. Cathy Beebe, friend
I live in Manhattan, and of all the thousands of fliers that were posted by friends and family members in the city, I just always remember Brooke Jackman. I never even knew her. So young and with everything to live for. I remember thinking what a terrible waste. My condolences to her friends and family.
I have Mercy band with Brooke's name. This is my way to honor the sacrifice daily. I would like the family & friends of Brooke to know that my heart aches for you and my lips will remember you in prayer. Emily Stephens
Brooke was my cousin and it pains me to know I didn't have the chance to get to know her better. I love her and I will really miss her. I wish strength to her family upon these hard times. Jill Arends, cousin

Bryan was probably the brightest kid at my high school, Robert E. Lee in Tyler,Texas, and one of my brother Lee's best friends in High School. Knowing Bryan asI did, I also know that we lost a talented and dedicated American and we are allthe poorer for it. Glynn Roberts, brother of Bryan's high school friend
In you we lost an angel. Our prayers are with you and your family at this hour. Tim was a great neighbor in our section of Madison. He always had friendly words for passersby, and he took great pride in restoring his historic homes to their original grandeur. In doing so he helped immeasurably in preserving the character of our turn-of-the-century neighborhood, and motivating others to do the same. He is greatly missed. Paul Heitmann, neighbor

It is with all my love and respect for Waleed, that I write these quotes: "Treat today as if you won't exist tomorrow." "Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart." "The rainbows of life follow the storm." "The sky does weep, but tears of joy."
My cousin Waleed tried to come into God's presence; he used his special keys -- love, love, love and love. We love you Waleed! You lived. We’ve learned.

I remember Todd from our years together at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. Todd had a great sense of humor and his smile radiated for miles. If anyone was able to cheer up his co-workers in their final moments, it was Todd.

My thoughts and Prayers are with Kristy's family. I am a past roommate, sorority sister and graduate of Kristy's and have lost touch with her after graduation. Kristy is such a wonderful, light hearted person. She brought many laughs to my life, and many others. I was so sorry to hear of this news.
My husband John and I attended the Memorial Mass for Kristy Irvine Ryan. The Church was standing room only. Kristy was my Alpha Phi Little Sister and she was the most beautiful and caring person. She will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. Lisa Heal, sorority sister

I worked as a consultant for the Port Authority Police Department at Kennedy Airport. I am honored to say that I worked for and knew this true police officer. He was an officer's officer. I am very saddened and heartbroken at the loss of such a good person.
Although we've met through a colleague of mine, I felt that is was my duty totell you that you will be dearly missed. I pray that your family and relativeshave the strength to move on, which is something you would have wanted them todo. Ed Valentin, friend
Jon was a good guy and a wealth of knowledge that will surely be missed. He would go out of his way to help and if he had to die doing what he loved best, it's tragic it had to be at such a young age.

My heart and soul are with the Ianelli family. I am a friend of Joseph's uncle Michael who is a wonderful person and I am sure Joseph, although i did not know him, was very much like Michael. We do not know why we have these horrible things happen to us but we must hold on to our faith. Remember our Lord died for all of us and Joseph is there now with Jesus. Our faith tells us there is a better place than here on earth and we will have eternal life there after. Keep strong and I know Joseph is with you every moment of the day he is not with you bodily but his soul is with God and you. God bless you all. Fondly,
Dear Walter and family: Our thoughts and prayers will be with you forever. Thank you for your dedication and love of mankind. Rest in peace, our friend. You are safely home in heaven. God bless you and your family. May God bless America.
Being the daughter of a retired fire chief, I am honored to carry the bracelet on my wrist for Capt. Walter Hynes, who will always be a hero in my heart.
I just wanted Dad to know there is no one else in this entire world like him. He had so much spirit. He taught me to not take life so seriously and to laugh at myself. I miss you, Dad. Thank you for being such a beautiful person. I miss you every minute of every day, but I know you are in a better place. You should know you've impacted so many lives and have brought positive acts to this not-so-perfect world. I love you.
You are a true American hero who served your country proudly and heroically. I promise to tell your grandchildren all about you and how their "pop-pop" Hymel was truly a great man. Thanks for the memories. R.J.H. -- gone but not forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Susan's family. It is unfortunate that we, as neighbors, did not truly get to know all of the wonderful facets of Susan's life. It is sad to think that it takes such a horrific event for us to really get to know all of her wondeful qualities. We have learned a very important lesson. The Baers, next door neighbors
Susan, My mother worked with you at Compaq, she knew you well and misses you dearly. Though I never met you, I cry for you and your family and friends who miss you dearly. I never met you, but I saw your husband on television soon after 9-11. I have thought of both of you every day since then, and I will remember you every day until I breathe my last breath. I pray for comfort for your family and friends. Many mourn you who never knew you, and you will be in my heart always. Cheryl Bonifant
I would check every day the names of people found and pray you were alive. The day I came across a confirmation you had died, I felt sad but relieved that you were found. Since then, I can still see the photo that your husband had put up of both of you on your wedding day. I will never forget what has happened and, for some reason, you will always be the face I see when I think of September 11. Jennifer Quin

Our heartfelt sorrow goes out to the entire Howley family for a light lost too young. It is simply not fair that both her and her unborn child had to die so tragically. Having had a cousin die in her 30s, I know too well the sorrow and pain. We are all deeply saddened.

I just wanted to express my deepest sympathy to your family. We only spoke briefly on the phone while I was licensing him to do business for the state of Illinois. He was always kind and friendly with me. I have and will continue to pray for him and your family, who I hope will be comforted to know that he is regarded as a hero. He touched a cord in my heart that I will tell my future children about. Maria, business associate

I remember when Steve and his wife starting dating. We were so happy for them since they seemed well-suited for each other. My impression of Steve was that he was a quiet, thoughtful man with an engaging smile and a heart of gold. We will miss him and wish to extend our sympathies to his wife and family. We met briefly at your brother's wedding. My thoughts and prayers are with Miriam and your children. Yes, Michael, I know you are watching down from heaven. God bless you and your family. Your memory will always live in my heart. I am deeply sorry for pain you and your family are going through. I will always remember to say I love you as often as I can to everyone I love. We love you Michael and we will never forget. God bless.
I can't help but notice how beautiful, bright, glorious and sunny the day is, yet in my heart I feel like our little town is a lot emptier without you and all of our other friends. I like to think that the reason why these days seem so glorious and sunny is because it's a reminder that God is with us, watching over us, protecting us, and that his love is majestic and strong. I also like to think that accompanying the glorious sunshine is your spirit soaring high above us. You will always be missed.
