I just want you to know you were and always will be the realest person i ever met and i'll always have your back, no matter what. I hope it's you that opens up the gates for me when i get there. I miss you more than you'll ever know. I love you brother. Your ROADDOGG Matt... Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, and Sister I love you all too. Call me if you need anything at all.
A friend I made in Infantry basic training made the ultimate sacrifice on May 3rd 2007 in Bagdad, Iraq.I posted a picture of us in the chapel in Fort Benning in my pictures. He is the one on my left with his arm around my shoulder. He was from Tacoma, Washington. Before he joined he was a Forestry service firefighter. He wanted to do his time in the military and get out and go back to that since he would get a better position and better pay with prior military service. He was all around awesome mountain man. This guy could throw a knife and stick it within 2 inches of the target spot EVERY time! He made slingshots out of engineer tape and was deadly accurate. While we were on FTX he even pointed out which leaves we could eat and wouldnt get us sick and some even tasted pretty good!!! He was a good man. He was a true patriot. He loved his country and was willing to die for it.I wish he hadnt.I will miss him.I found out tonight when I was reading Army Times.I didnt know his family.I wish I did.I just wanted to write this to kinda say thanks for his sacrifice and vent a little frustration on losing yet another of my valued friends.I have never bonded with anyone and felt about them the way I did the guys I "sucked" beside in Basic and in combat.I guess I never will find a tighter bond.Potter, Thank you for your sacrifice.
It was not in vain.America thanks you for giving your all without hesitation or regret. You joined the army in a time of war and fought till the end.You will not be forgotten.Rest easy soldier.Your time in hell is through.I will see you on the other side.We remember and we fight on.PFC Jason O. Robinson

There will never be any words to express just how much I miss you. I will always remember the Christmas we spent together. I love you and miss you more everyday!!!
A bright star has been removed from our sky - in our hearts and in our minds though, you shall forever brighten the way. Thank you for your sacrifice - everyday I will strive to be a better person to honor what you have given up for me and what your family has lost for me. You will always have a special place in our hearts.
Vincenzo Romeo was a wonderful person. Everywhere he went he brought laughter and joy. When we think of him we only have good memmories. He will always be remembered. I will never forget how close he and my brother were and how much fun they had together. Knowing Vincenzo was an honor. We will always remember him and the sacrifice he made for us and his country. He will always have a special place in our hearts. Our hearts and prayrs go out to his family and fiance.
It has been an absolute honor to have known my very good friend Vincenzo Romeo. He was by far the bravest and most honorable person I ever knew. His presence on Earth was a gift from God and will never be forgotten. He was a true friend that anyonce could rely on. My life will never be the same after losing a friend that I call my brother. Words will never be enough to console the beautiful family of our fallen hero. However, he deserves all the praise and respect that can be given. I want to thank his parents for giving life to such an extrordinary human being. I want them to know that I will always be there for them and I consider them to be my family as well.
I worked with William Bushnell while he was stationed at Schofield Barracks, HI. He was a funny, witty individual. I enjoyed working with him. His death was a shock to me. I know he is missed by all who knew him.
Brenda.
He was a hell of a man had the oppurtunity to run track with him had his head on straight and died a hero and a damn good one too. HOOAHCameron Kurowski
