God does always take the best, because Christian was really really special. I met him in 2003 when we both worked at for a company in Tottenham. He was a thoroughly decent, deeply kind, beaufitul guy. He told me about the manuscript he had written on his travels in Africa. I was fascinated by him as i had never come across anyone so self sufficient and spiritually together. He was just too too good ! I kept thinking that maybe there was another side to Christian that i wasnt seeing. But there of course was not. I respected him greatly, he had almost a kind of free spirit about him. I know Christian is cool right now because The Lord truly knows who is who.
Richard was a great friend to me, in the short time we knew each other we became very close,i wish we could have got to know each other better, but at least we spent time together,you know how much you meant to me, thinking of you each day, glad to have had the chance to know you, wish we could have stayed in touch, but i know wherever you are you are in a better place,
may allah rest your soul in peace along with all the oda innocent victims,having seing such cowardly behaviour jus makes me angry,i hope these terorits get punished for takin away such innocent lives from their loved ones.i send my deepest sympathy to the victims families.

I am devestated to hear of the loss of Shelley through these circumstances as you are. Shelley was my Contiki tour guide in October last year, I only knew her for 3 weeks but she played a big part in my first overseas experience with Shelley and she made it a "trip of a lifetime"...
Shelley had a lot of fun, and it takes an amazing, fun-loving person do be a tour guide and she did it with ease and imagination.
While no words can comfort you in your hour of loss, I wanted you to know how many lives she has touched, by receiving an email from someone who knew her for 3 weeks, you may confirm what you already know, that she was a special person who touched lives of people all over the world...
When I think there were 56 people killed in this tragedy, and I knew one of them, think about how many people who also knew Shelley through her line of work and are just as deeply sad to hear this news.
Sorrow for the tragedy suffered by so many people in the bombings here in London doesn't stop me feeling the same sadness for the victims and families in the hotel and the market in Sharm el Sheikh, the little children being given sweets in East Baghdad and the soldier hading them out and all the other victims of atrocities.
I somehow got myself volunteered into writing a farewell to you [today/Mon 18 Jul] on behalf of all our fellow MSc classmates from University College London 1990. (I managed to compose this, but alas we missed getting onto the speech list, so here is it electronically. Better late than never.)
We are all very sad to see you have to go away and more so because you won't be back. Our deepest sympathies go out to your nearest and dearest who you now must leave behind.
There [were] flowers & messages from classmates both near & far away who wanted to be here [last week] to see you off : Isabel in Peru, Mitsuko in New York, Peter B in New Hampshire, USA, Vali in Greece, Chris M at Heathrow. Sanjay in New York was rather hoping for a rematch in the squash court, though we all know you would thrash him yet again. And Amir is still asking, "Do you love me ?". Of course we know you will humour him with the right answer !
My, how time flies but, Neetu, even after 15 years, isn't it great that we still manage to meet for dinner ? We were so glad you could make it to the last gathering [Tue 28 Jun]. I expect we will do another dinner some time this summer as well as our usual at Xmas. So, of course, we fully expect you to be there, if not in body at least in spirit.
Last night [Sun 17 Jul], we were at Sanjay's place trying to find words to write about you : sweet, bubbly, smart (you did get a distinction for your MSc, right), feisty, full of good humour, petite, Woodstock (the little bird from Snoopy).
We remembered our course lectures and group projects together. Pizzas in the B02 basement computer lab inspite of the No Food & Drink sign. I will never forget that vivid red and yellow colour scheme you chose for your computer desk top which Sajith in his distinctively strong Sri Lankan accent said were "Typical Indian Colours".
I must sign off now. We will miss you so much but we wish you all the best on your next journey. We will never stop recounting our many happy memories together and that way we know you will live on.

Yesterday I watched on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) The Funeral Service held for Anthony, and it was just amazing that even with such a tragedy, your family and friends could find so much to be hopeful for, about you, the Life you lived and peace on earth. Everyone had something to say, and in those few minutes I watched, it was all most like I knew you, and I for the First time since I had the tragedy of the Bombing, felt too like I have lost someone and someone very special. Just to think in the years to come how Nigeria, would have need your knowledge and expertise in the Oil and gas sector.
Anthony was the victim, of a senseless murder. Rest Anthony, and even in heaven keep, making your mark, till someday we will meet you, for the first time for those of us that never knew you in life.

I am still numb at what has taken place and for the loss we all share. It isn’t often you have the opportunity to be able to meet someone who has one of the most positive outlooks on everything and all. Who takes you for not what you are but who you are – everything and all. He was taken from all of us (family and friends) too quickly. He was the only person I have known that lived and experienced more of life than the people that are here today. My heart hurts and my eyes water. I am sad that I never got that one more time with him and I will always treasure the time we had.

I have a memory of Jacques that goes back to when I was like 2 with my grandparents my grandmother was his godmother and we went to watch him play and he saw us and came up and gave me the biggest hug picked me up and spun me around. he was the sweetest and most loving guy it is a shame that God wanted him to join Him in the kingdom because we as his family were not ready to let him go!

Rachelle was perhaps the kindest, sweetest girl one was ever likely to meet. Working with her was a pleasure- she always had a smile on her face and never a harsh word for anyone.

Steve, I heard the news not to long ago. It seems just a few days ago that we were laughing at the stupid things the Tac officers were having us do. You were such a great man. Always keeping our spirits up when we never thought we could get through all that studying. You were a pilot before flight school and you never held all that knowlege back from us "Rookies". Steve you will always and forever be missed. I promise that I will always keep your memories alive with me. As for your wife and unborn daughter please know that I offer my utmost condolences. I didn't know Jennifer, or anyone else and i am so lucky for that. I only saw all these faces and felt a little sick with sadness that there is no reason why any of these people should have died. I cannot bring myself to see what gain can be had from this. I hope god, whatever form heshe may take will give justice.

I had only met Tony once through a friend and we hang out for a bit, what a great and sincere guy. He had great musical talent and really would have gone really far in life if this tragedy had not happened. My dearest condolences to his family and friends for such a great loss.
I worked with Giles in BT about 10 years ago, someone I spoke with a lot but only ever on the phone, I'll never forget his distinctive well spoken manner, he was a real gentleman. My thoughts are with his family.
As with Charlene I found myself checking the web everyday and the papers to see if you had been found safe. Its unusual for somebodys personality to shine so much in a picture as yours did in the papers. Judging by all of the messages on here your pictures showed your true self and that is how you will be remembered. Words used in messages from people who knew you below include 'genuine' , 'beautiful' , 'heart of gold' , 'pleasant' , 'intelligent' , 'caring' , 'bright'. Even though I never knew you I feel that I wish I had as it is rare to find people with all those personality traits in this day and age. If anything your family & friends can feel proud to have had you touch their lives for the years that you did and your memory will live on in all of their and our thoughts and prayers. My war was VN, but I too am a Squires whose forefathers were Ohio farmers and patriots. These men, and the families they left, protected our liberties, fought the Revolution, rallied against the enemy of 1812, and as brothers joining Union brothers saved a divided country. And as far as I know, a Squires from Ohio has served in every war or conflict since. I wish I had met Brad; he is probably much like my nephew - love of life and fearless in his pursuits. A joy to be with.

I met Giles when we were in the same Hall of Residence at Royal Holloway College in 1968. We lost touch so when I met Giles at Baker Street station more than 30 years later I was amazed at how much he had packed into his life (the rest of us seem to drift on). He was proud of his family and when he took me home to meet them I could understand why.
i didnt know you but i'm really sad at your death. I kept on hoping it wasnt true thinking this guy is to fine to die. May God see your family through this time. May they have strength to bear this terrible loss. I know it's not possible to imagine what they're going through.
